Box Office Retail & Group Sales Assistant Manager
Job Description
Assume responsibility for the store's profitability; work with the finance department to ensure that all sales and reports are appropriately logged and reported in a timely manner. Manage inventory and strategize on merchandise line development an ordering. Perform inventory audits. Fulfill website orders and respond to customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Exhibit excellent floor presence and train the box office team on customer service, sales techniques and merchandising.
- Achieve a functional processing system to ensure that merchandise is placed promptly when delivered and the sales area is fully stocked, organized and clean; ensure that carts for intermission sales are properly stocked and ready for sales.
- Sell tickets and provide general information to the public at the Box Office; build and process data from Tessitura ticketing system.
- Manage part-time box office staff.
- Build group sales program targeted at adult and student group visitors and tour operators including development of policies, staff, and marketing collateral.
- Manage SFJAZZ shows and events as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 to 7 years retail and/or box office experience.
- Tessitura or other ticketing software experience.
- Excellent written and verbal and interpersonal communications skills.
- Prior management experience
