Free Family Saturday Workshops
Free Family Saturday Workshops
SFJAZZ is thrilled to partner with the Jazz Heritage Center of San Francisco in offering our two-month Discover Jazz series, and we are happy to announce the addition of a FREE Family Saturday program on Saturday, April 21st as a special part of this collaboration. Families with children ages 5 and older can join us for two distinct programs, from 11am to 1pm and 2-4pm for some fun and highly interactive activities on the blues and traditional jazz.
Join Bay Area artists and educators Marcus Shelby, Faye Carol, Howard Wiley, SFJAZZ Director of Education Rebeca Mauleón and others for a hands-on day of music-making as we celebrate the traditional music of New Orleans (11am workshop) and the heartbeat of America’s music, the Blues (2pm workshop). Children and parents alike will play, sing, dance and learn together as we celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month in the Fillmore! Please visit the Jazz Heritage Center’s website for more information.
To register, please call the Jazz Heritage Center at (415) 255-7745 and leave your name, phone number, which workshop(s) you’ll be
attending, the number of people and ages of children in your group.
