The Major Gifts & Research Coordinator reports to the Director of Development and plays a critical role in increasing individual donor support. He/she is responsible for a wide variety of prospect donor research and major gift activities that increase the major gift pipeline. Key areas of emphasis include identifying, profiling, and qualifying prospects, estimating financial capacity and organizational affinity, and pinpointing institutional linkages and funding interests. Additional responsibilities include supporting the Major Gifts Team (Donor Engagement Director, Individual Giving Director, CEO, and Executive Artistic Director) in activities such as gift processing, report generation, donor relations, event production, and general administrative duties.

The Rentals Sales & Venue Hospitality Manager, under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, leads and directs all sales and marketing efforts for the Rentals department. The Rentals Sales & Venue Hospitality Manager works closely with the Rentals Production Manager to create and maintain excellent client service, relationships and events at the SFJAZZ Center. The Rentals program is expected to generate approximately $1.3M in revenue by developing an ongoing portfolio of approximately 100 events a year.

The SFJAZZ Community Outreach Coordinator position provides a central through line for the organization’s overarching mission of cultivating the next generation of jazz makers as well as audiences by establishing ongoing relationships with partner organizations in San Francisco and the greater Bay Area. Among the primary responsibilities of this position is the management and oversight of community partnerships and outreach efforts. Through ongoing networking and established presence in our community, the Outreach Coordinator serves as the principal liaison for the SFJAZZ Education Department, fostering collaboration while developing rich and interactive partnerships, and overseeing the continuing growth of the organization’s off-site programming.

The SFJAZZ Education Administrative Assistant supports the Education Department with multiple tasks directly affecting day to day operations, serving as a critical anchor to the Department within the SFJAZZ organization. Must be able to multi-task, be thoroughly organized, detail-oriented and deadline driven in a sometimes unpredictable environment. Excellent written, verbal and computer skills needed; must be able to work independently and with limited input. Flexibility, strong teamwork, and grace under pressure are extremely important qualities required for this position, including dedication and commitment to arts education.

The SFJAZZ School Programs Assistant provides general support to the School Programs team, coordinating and scheduling all related activities and teaching residencies, and providing all required administrative support both on and off site. A critical aspect of this job entails excellent record-keeping and data/file management skills, as well as strong commitment to education equity and social justice. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of Google Docs, MS Word and Excel and other general office platforms, a background in nonprofit administration, and a positive attitude and outlook. Multi-lingual applicants preferred.

The Donor Services Assistant – Gift Entry reports to the Senior Manger, Membership, and provides assistance to the full Development Department in making sure the Donor Services operation runs smoothly and meets growth goals outlines in organizational planning. While based in the SFJAZZ fundraising department, this position is also an excellent introduction to nonprofit finance and customer service principles.

The Corporate Partnerships Manager designs and implements strategies to attract and maintain corporate cash and in-kind gifts, and develops a reliable revenue stream for the organization. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Corporate Partnerships Manager will execute all aspects of the corporate sponsorship plan, including research and identification of prospects; cultivation and relationship management of the portfolio; proposal development and solicitation; and benefit fulfillment of all sponsorship agreements. Success will include the ability to identify compelling engagement opportunities suited to both SFJAZZ and corporate objectives and synthesize those opportunities into strategic partnership plans.

SFJAZZ is seeking an experienced full-time Audience Service Manager. This position is responsible for providing performance and special event supervision in support of all SFJAZZ departments. The successful candidate will oversee the coordination of personnel, equipment, and contracted services in the front of house throughout the event lifecycle for SFJAZZ activities. As a key member of the SFJAZZ team the Audience Services Manager will provide critical operational interface to the ongoing focus of creating a supportive and optimized work environment.

The Donor Services Coordinator (DSC) reports to the Senior Manager, Membership and plays a key role in planning and implementing SFJAZZ’s fundraising program by prioritizing Department work flow and providing information and analysis on both individual and institutional prospects and funding sources. The DSC manages administration of the Development Department’s portion of Tessitura CRM system, including gift entry and acknowledgement, solicitations, and reporting. The DSC works collegially with other members of the department as well as other staff across the organization to make sure department projects and objectives are achieved in an efficient and timely manner.

The Associate Event Producer assists in designing, planning, and execution of fundraising and stewardship events essential to the organization’s fundraising goals, focusing primarily on our annual Gala. The Associate Event Producer acts as a liaison between the Development and Production/Operations departments, as well as outside vendors involved in special events, and is central to successful event execution for the department. The Associate Event Producer will gain an excellent understanding of how a major arts presenter effectively builds a donor base through special events and creates and maintains a successful event program.

Under the direction of the Director of Finance, the Staff Accountant will support the finance team with various accounting and administrative tasks. This is a great opportunity to grow in learning and building skills in the non-profit and performing arts sector.
